Joining Geist Consulting in 2020 Ashley Balasquide has dedicated her young career to several years of voluntary work experience for the underserved community and working with healthcare leaders to tackle underlining health disparities issues. Through Global Service and Community Involvement programs Ashley has experienced many accomplishments, including her selection as a student to participate in exploratory fieldwork with the Assistant Dean of the Healthcare Management Program at the University of Denver. Ashley facilitated the experiments procedures and design including foreign communication exchange, researching cultural etiquette, coordinating step by step implementation of the experiment, and constructing domain analysis for the support of the project. Ashley also partook in an organization that allowed her to initiate a public good project. The project was designed to gain knowledge of community issues, needs, strengths, problems, and limited resources of refugee population experiences. Ashley also served as a Healthcare Intern at an Integrated Community Hospital in South Africa. Working collectively with all sections of the hospital Ashley gained valuable experience in rural healthcare ethics. Located in South Africa's largest township Ashley learned to develop a diverse mindset when approaching patients with different backgrounds. Ashley Balasquide earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at the University of Alabama, and her Master of Science in Healthcare Management, concentrating on Global Health Program Managing at the University of Denver. Ashley currently serves Geist Consulting as an Executive Healthcare Consultant helping Hospitals and Physician Groups find innovative ways to increase their revenue streams and decrease their costs.
